There is an energy that never runs out, it’s the energy of an electric guitar and Franco Giaffreda, singer-songwriter, guitarist and composer, born in Lecco in July 1970 knows it well.

The '70s were the golden years of rock, the same years in which Franco, still a boy, was struck by the many guitarists of that decade and the previous one, such as the English Ritchie Blackmore and, above all, Jimi Hendrix. It is not by chance that the intense activity of the singer, started in 1989 in Evil Wings, a band with which he will compose five records, sees an almost inseparable link with the electric guitar, to which Giaffreda also adds the classical one, mellotron and flute.

Thanks to the different experiences all over Italy and the technique on the "six strings", after graduating in 1997 at the Conservatorio Verdi in Como Franco has the opportunity to explore and experiment with many musical genres (from heavy metal to progressive), arriving in 2007 able to work alongside musicians and producers such as Claudio Dentes (Elio e Le Storie Tese), Flavio Premoli (PFM) and Antonella Ruggiero in two albums by Fabio Concato: Azzurro e Concato and Oltre il giardino.

His ability as a singer and flutist, as well as a guitarist, led him in 2013 to join the Get'em Out, one of the most important cover bands dedicated to Genesis of the Gabriel era. For six years the Get'em out repropose throughout northern Italy the spectacular concerts in costume of the British band, with some important stops including the Blue Note in Milan and the "Genesis Day 3" of Nocera Umbra.

In parallel, however, the creative and compositional vein is not lacking. Between 2019 and the beginning of 2021 Franco records in fact two full length of unpublished songs: Gli strani giorni di Noi Nessuno and Apologia di un destino comune. Both albums are two concepts sung in Italian, a brave choice in the rock scene that usually prefers the English language.

If Gli strani giorni di Noi Nessuno deals with themes regarding the difficult relationships between people in the contemporary and post-modern era, Apologia di un destino comune, composed in the lock-down period, tells the story of three people during the advent of the covid-19.
