HeavyMeal is the nom de plume of Nicola Buzzetti, songwriter and guitarist born in Milan in 1964.

Passionate since he was a boy about the heartland rock ballads of the "boss" Bruce Springsteen, at the age of 44 he decided for the first time to pick up a guitar and undertake his own journey into the world of music, following in his own way the path marked by modern American songwriters such as Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Neil Young.

Guitar on his shoulder and music in his blood, Nicola performs between Northern Italy and Switzerland together with Q-Jeanie and then in 2018 gives life to the solo project HeavyMeal which leads the following year to the release of the debut album Maybe Too Late (More Than Indie Records).

With an ironic and mocking vein (starting from the very title of the album "maybe it's too late"), the multiple atmospheres and shades of American rock, ranging from grunge and garage, to blues and folk, intertwine in Maybe Too Late to flow into mature and personal lyrics that reflect the reaction of a generation hurt by the "heavy contemporary reality".

In November 2019, Nicola, together with his daughter Francesca, appears while playing the song Huge in the docufilm "Fame da Amore", a program broadcasted on the Italian tv that follows the vicissitudes of a group of young boys with eating disorders and their journey in treatment clinics.

During the Covid-19 crisis, participates in first person to the charity project SOS Varese Aiuta realizing the song and the video dedicated to them, entitled SOS Angels.
